How The DIY Works Team Tests & Rates Garden Sprinklers
Keeping your lawn lovely and green during the hot summer months can be a difficult task. However, with the use of a sprinkler, it’s made far easier, and there are plenty of options to choose from.
Due to the fact that we maintain our own and multiple other lawns of properties that we manage (rentals and Airbnbs), we’ve had the pleasure of testing a variety of garden sprinklers. During our ongoing testing of the sprinklers, we analyse their usability, spray patterns, build quality and coverage.

As you can see in the photos, we also tried out all of the spray patterns that the sprinklers offered as well as all the adjustments. For example, in the Aquastorm photos above, we were able to adjust how far the sprinkler oscillated using the red lever. In the below photos of the Multi-Pattern sprinkler offered by the brand, we were able to choose from 8 spray patterns using the rotary dial.

Below is a video that we posted on our YouTube channel that shows us testing the Hozelock Aquastorm that we rated as the best within our roundup.
To keep up our commitment to reviewing and testing the latest garden sprinklers (for this article), we are continually testing out the latest options from top brands in the UK. This means that if we notice that a brand has released a new and improved model, we will attempt to buy it and put it to the test where applicable.
As well as our testing and experience using multiple sprinklers, we also based our recommendations on the latest research and several factors. Some of the factors that we took into consideration included the sprinkler’s type, coverage, ease of use, spray patterns, minimum pressure required, construction quality, adjustability, warranty and value for money.
